Special Meetings cannot change Agenda

Personnel Handbook was discussed. Board members had different copies.

Holidays: Meal expenses, mileage of 74 cents were discussed.

Students use of technology was discussed and motioned on for the first reading.

Printed meal prices were wrong need to change.

Budget was discussed.

$90,000 Activity Bus was decreased to $50,000

No taxation has been received yet from Sheridan, Benson and Wells county of mill levies.

The category of Misc increase a little from 7 to 7.5

Building fund was ok

Reserve fund was ok

Title 1 - 5 $16,000 from last year

Levies are not set in stone Insurance really went up with a $6,000 increase

21.3% insurance increase. $185,000 insurance increase

Currently the budget is in $270,000 deficit.

Hoff was asked if Lukens help him with the budget and Hoff stated, yes and thankful for it.

Girls Shorts to short discussion. Some wanted finger tips; however, they went to 2nd knuckle in length. Mertz sided with Kelly and Arnold. Motion carried.

Computer rotation

Resignation of Zane as Business Manager. Pay for open postion is $55,000 to $80,000. Aaron Hoff will be handling all applications.

Public speaking in Board meeting was suggested by Collette Hertz to be only 2 to 4 minutes. Reason, meetings are to long the way it is. Interesting, that she does not have an open mind to public communication.

1st reading and 2nd reading in August meeting. How can you have two readings without the public having notice of the first reading?

No budget is posted on website. Mr. Hoff stated that the community may come into receive a copy of the budget. Upon request of that copy, Collette Hertz stated that the budget had errors to fix. When changes have been made, the copies will be 10 cent a page. Not what Century code states!

The first hour of locating requested records (including electronic records) is free. A fresh record such as this current budget should not take an hour to locate. Once again, Collette is displaying defiance to the community.
