A full decision needs to be made by board members and written down. Memory is not working for them. I really don't believe Texas Host alone has that responsibility. Further discussions of creating policies.
Guardrail policy was discussed. Financial guardrail included limits and guidelines for the Superintendent and Business Manager reports for better management of budget variables. Review and memory of previously discussed guardrails seemed to vary from speakers at the table. (Perhaps, the Business Manager or another scribe could type them up so they have them to carry over to the next meeting) The Texas person online explored many angles to suggest changes in decided guardrail.
Discussion on questions submitted by teachers for a survey. The Board will review them and create more questions of their own. Motioned; carried to postpone until next week's meeting giving them time to plan their own questions.
Next week meeting will be January 28, 2025 at 7am. The board closed meeting with intention to recess at 8am for the Texas host of Guardrail policy.
The meeting begins with accepting another letter of resignation. Then there was discussion of Dr. Harding's resignation date of 2/7/25. Motion and carried to pay her contact days.

Business Manager: issue on misc. check from DPI discussion. Continued to ask board for raise of Assist. Business Manager, probation period ended; $1.00/hr raise with limited to 20 hrs. BM asked for Assit. BM to be given authority to discuss accounts with the bank. (Colette seems to explain what BM is saying. How often is she there to know more than the rest of the board of administration activities? Is there a conflict of interest being hidden?)

Examples FUNNY COMMENT BY A BOARD MEMBER!!! The board claims legal fees overages are due to the FOAI or Open Records request. OPEN RECORDS DO NOT COST THE SCHOOL ANYTHING BUT TIME, INK AND PAPER.
The School should be trained to know what they have to comply to for open records so they do not have to ask an attorney about everything.
IT IS THE PUBLIC'S RIGHT TO ASK FOR OPEN RECORDS! IT IS NOT THE PUBLIC'S FAULT THEY ASK AN ATTORNEY OVER EVERYTHING.
