March 14, 2025 School Board Meeting, Harvey, ND Resignation Letter

Dr. Lukens' resignation letter was read by Wade Anderson. Dr. Lukens submitted the letter under advisement of his attorney and the board's attorney.

Advertisement for a new Superintendent will commence right away. Details of completion of the Lukens contract was discussed. The reason for the resignation letter is unknown to the public; however, a binder of open records, recordings and more was entered into the school records (available for open records) by the people. This may or may not have something to do with it. I guess we will not know.

Waiting to see if letters and submissions bring any further news our ways. It is a shame that the public has to do this in order to have their voice heard. The people of Harvey have tried to open communications with the school board over and over. The school board shut down the very people who elect them, parents of the children they teach and their employees concerns.
